An enterprise is the groups of organizations that share a common goal. Architecture describes how an enterprise's business processes are implemented in its IT infrastructure. It is the purpose of architecture to achieve the goals of an enterprise.
Therefore, an enterprise architect is a person who has knowledge of the IT infrastructure and operating model of the enterprise.
TOGAF Architecture Framework
It describes a method to achieve a target state of the enterprise in terms of set of building blocks and showing how those building blocks fit together.
TOGAF architecture framework supports four different architecture domains: business, data, application, and technology architecture.
TOGAF frameworks is described by
ADM (Architecture Development Method). A process for deriving an organization-specific enterprise architecture catering to their business needs.
ADM Guidelines and Techniques. Defines how to use the ADM.
Architecture Content Framework. A repository of artifacts, deliverables, and architectural building blocks.
The Enterprise Continuum. A way to leverage and reuse artifacts.
TOGAF Reference Models. Examples to learn the application of the TOGAF framework.
The Architecture Capability Framework. A repository of guidelines and best practices to establish and architecture practice in an organization.
